- 11 lb (4.98 kg) Vienna malt
- 1 lb (0.45 kg) Corn, flaked
- HOPS
- 2 oz (57 g) Chinook hops, 13% AA @ 60 min
- 1 oz (28 g) Chinook hops, 13% AA @ 10 min
- 1 oz (28 g) Cascade hops, 5.8% AA @10 min
- EXTRAS
- Whirfloc @ 10 min
- 0.8 oz (23 g) Crushed Szechuan peppercorn @ 5 min
- YEAST
- 1 packet, Bohemian lager yeast

Original Gravity: 1.053
Final Gravity: 1.012
ABV: 5.3%
IBU: 95
SRM: 9-10
Directions:
Note: This recipe is for 6 gallons which includes an assumed loss of 0.5 gallons from the kettle to fermenter.
Conduct a 60-minute mash at 149°F (65°C). Mash out at 167°F (75°C). Boil for 60 minutes, following the hop addition schedule as listed in the ingredients.
Ferment at 65°F (18°C). Ale temperature fermentation with the lager yeast makes for Steam-style beer.
